i can tell theres a story here....lots of elements that makes me think theres a story going on. The characters are interacting with eachother and theres a mystery behind whats really going on.

but im not sure lol
its still visually appealing

I like that there are tree elements used in this! Lends itself very well to the composition.
you really guide the viewers eye around the piece. which is very hard to do!!

the expression on the characters face is also great : )

i guess she's a girl. her hair and body shape aren't enough to give it away though.
intentionally off balance right? I dont like that in particualr, but since you did it intentionally its alright then.

the colors were chosen well.

jellyfishboy responds:

thanks! she's a very ugly girl... ;) i wouldn't say the imbalance is intentional... i was under pressure to get it done asap... some people had backed out, and the person that runs the exhibit needed some extra girls drawn... so this was all i was able to come up with... tanks for the feedback, i really appreciate it!

dope : )

oh man that's freaking terrifying.

I like just about everything about this:
the highlights on the horns, the bold outline around most of the body...it also gives it the look that the body is fuzzy...which adds to the creepy : )

nice and creepy just the way i like it : )

Nice.

I like all the fantasy elements included in this. Everything seems to fit and looks very proffesional. your grasp of human anatomy is impressive.

I like this a lot!

the character shape is nice and interesting and I like how small his face is to the rest of his body.
coloring is great.

the only aspect that I dont like are the legs. Everyhting in this has strong form except for the legs. they seem much more cartoony than the rest of the piece.
...
maybe cartoony wasn't the right term. But the rest of the piece seems like a cartoon in a realistic kind of way.

hope that was clear.

RootsenSneeky responds:

Hey guy, thanks. I can comprehend your critic on the stylistic gap between the "realistic" shading of the body and the flat cartoonish legs, but i must admit that i like the confrontation of this different elements, and i mean: take a look at his hat. objectively, THIS is the most cartoonish part, because it hasn't any shader and the shape is even interrupted by nothing. But Okay, for you the hat works and the legs don't. that's completely possible and okay :)

I LIKE
that is all

like it lots man!!

theres a lot of different elements going on here. I find it really impressive that all of these elements were used in this piece and used well!

the linequality is sexy as hell and i like the use of textures. coloring is also good.

nice!

RootsenSneeky responds:

thanks man, the diversity of different style-elements is one of the things, which i also like most in this picture and it was a lot of fun to keep juggling these different things and tweak and tweak to find the optimum balance :)
