dope : )

oh man that's freaking terrifying.

I like just about everything about this:
the highlights on the horns, the bold outline around most of the body...it also gives it the look that the body is fuzzy...which adds to the creepy : )

nice and creepy just the way i like it : )

Nice.

I like all the fantasy elements included in this. Everything seems to fit and looks very proffesional. your grasp of human anatomy is impressive.

I like this a lot!

the character shape is nice and interesting and I like how small his face is to the rest of his body.
coloring is great.

the only aspect that I dont like are the legs. Everyhting in this has strong form except for the legs. they seem much more cartoony than the rest of the piece.
...
maybe cartoony wasn't the right term. But the rest of the piece seems like a cartoon in a realistic kind of way.

hope that was clear.

RootsenSneeky responds:

Hey guy, thanks. I can comprehend your critic on the stylistic gap between the "realistic" shading of the body and the flat cartoonish legs, but i must admit that i like the confrontation of this different elements, and i mean: take a look at his hat. objectively, THIS is the most cartoonish part, because it hasn't any shader and the shape is even interrupted by nothing. But Okay, for you the hat works and the legs don't. that's completely possible and okay :)

I LIKE
that is all

like it lots man!!

theres a lot of different elements going on here. I find it really impressive that all of these elements were used in this piece and used well!

the linequality is sexy as hell and i like the use of textures. coloring is also good.

nice!

RootsenSneeky responds:

thanks man, the diversity of different style-elements is one of the things, which i also like most in this picture and it was a lot of fun to keep juggling these different things and tweak and tweak to find the optimum balance :)

spiiderman is really hard to draw. I like your drawing of spiderman enough but because of his costume it is really easy to see where you went wrong with the shape of his chest and head.
the spiderwebs have to mimic the shape of his body.

also his neck is off. you might say that it looks that way because dr. doom is squeezing him, but to get his neck that distorted doom would be practically killing him. crippled spidey after this.

doom is pretty solid. I would make his left hand stand out more. Because it blends in too much with the arm behind it.

all in all good work! spiderman is insanely hard to draw and I like the folds, and value change on doom

Chessplay responds:

Thanks, the webbing pattern was tricky to have follow his body shape. I know exactly what you mean for the neck, especially since Doom isn't supposed to be squeezing his neck at all, he's supposed to be holding it and forcing him to look him in the eyes (hence why the index finger is hidden at the back of his head and the hand isn't on his throat as if to choke). Anyways, thanks for that.

oh wow!!

the focus is really clear in this piece. The repetition of circles within the balloon was a great idea to create a focus.

The opposites in this are really interesting too. Not so much colors (because there's no green.) but in the mood of the colors vs. the sleeping figure. This would be a terrible dream and the fact that they are sleeping through it makes it even more dreamlike.

ALSO I just noticed that there is another figure in the bed. lots of nice detail!

Merol responds:

There is a little of green in one of those streamer things the balloon has! Kinda.

And how comes you missed the sleeping girl? She's not even hidden or anything!

Thank you very much!!

nice!!

i really like the concept and how you made a heart look swamplike.
