haha nice man

his ears confuse me a bit but that's about it : )

Kinsei responds:

Yeah I can see what your getting at there. I had a little trouble myself wrapping my own mind around it when drawing it, but I just kept going along with my original Pinky sketch
Thanks for the stars.

oh wow this is cool.
so many things going on in this piece.

like the concept and subject matter : )

but not so much how it was actually drawn. I realize that the anatomy isn't human but it doesnt look too realistic enough for me.

Luvcub responds:

Thanks!
I agree with you on the anatomy, not my best.
But it was on a giant sheet of paper, like my newer ones, hence the crap quality.
And that giant sheet of paper made me work more than a little drawing, so I thought it at least deserved to be featured in my gallery.
I took a look at your art too, I love your style, especially the ones with crosshatching, that has to be my favorite type of shading.

dayum ths is good
like the pose and where you decided to crop.
the wings really look like they are glowing

ohhh this is cool!!
the colors, detail e'rthang

also the reflection in his helmet looks like they could be continents. intentional?

G-i-b responds:

Thanks man.

It's meant to be a reflection of the tiny globe hanging in front of him.

holy crap dude this is awesome

duplex2 responds:

Many thanks

really dig your linework here man
the change in thickness makes it interestin to look at,

is this a photo, it looks like it might be because of the light on top of the head. or maybe that's just coloring?

i dunno, it gives off a glossy feel that seems to lower the quality slightly.
or maybe im just seeing things

all in all I like it!

MrCreeep responds:

thanks. it was scanned and i was messing around with it in one of those iphone photo editors and i thought it looked more interesting this way than black and white.

i like i like

the value change is nice to see.

question: the vine connecting the tree to the left and to the middle, it doesn't change in thickness, wouldn't it as it moved away from the foreground?

it's too cluttered dude.
also his lips look way too defined to have bandages over them.

thats really impressive that you were able to use so many different mediums and have them all work together

afiboy69 responds:

I usually have a composition set up or an idea of arrangement by drawing out thumbnails. Here I kinda went straight for the characters and atmosphere. Thanks for pointing out the mouth tho i just sketched him without it and it does look a lil better, and makes more sense too. Also yea I enjoy combining different mediums, its a great way to explore and experiment, because at the end u might get something rlly shit or u might hav some thing that u could be rlly proud of.

ohhh this is cool!

I like the complimentary colors and how you shaded the clothes and the blue light coming from the left.
the bobble on the end of the hat is distracting and the hands seem underdeveloped

but you said this was a speedpainting : ) good stuff

ConnyNordlund responds:

Yeah if I'd work on it more I'd render everything remotely to a finish.
